SECTION ONE : Introductory tapes

- This tape has been specially designed for those enquiring into the
central teachings, and principles of the Faith. Music breaks up the text

- AUD:2 THE PROMISE OF WORLD PEACE - A Summary.
- Designed for the enquirer, this summary of the Peace Statement allows the
listener to grasp the essentials of the historic document, and is based on
a summary by the BPT. Appropriate music permits ease of listening and the
specially designed inlay-card portrays the "swords into ploughshares"
statue outside the UN building in New York. Emminently suitable for all who
seek to know of the coming world peace.

SECTION TWO : Hands of the Cause of God
- AUD:3-5 HAND OF THE CAUSE JOHN ROBARTS "Teaching the Faith"
- This set of three was recorded over one weekend in 1981 when Mr Robarts
visited Dublin with his wife Audry. His inimitable style endears itself to
the listener and inspires and uplifts all who seek to teach our Faith. He
shares many, many stories of teaching and indicates that some people have
not become Bahá'ís simply because they have not been asked. These tapes
are very precious and a valuable resource.

- AUD:6-11 HAND OF THE CAUSE ZIKRULLAH KHADEM
- This superb set of six was recorded during an Irish Summer School (1984) in
Dublin. It was one of the last schools attended by Mr Khadem prior to his
passing in November of 1986. The Review Panel of the National Assembly of
the United Kingdom was moved to write: "These talks are wonderful - an
immense fount of personal stories of the Beloved Guardian. They are
absolutely priceless and at times very moving" Each tape is filled with a
deep spirituality, shared by someone whose love for the Beloved Guardian
knew no bounds. In his own very special loving style of delivery he brings
the listener ever closer to Shoghi Effendi. It would be difficult to find a
more inspiring and uplifting set of talks by a soul described by the House
of Justice as an "indefatigable and fearless defender of the Faith".

- A wonderfully inspiring talk given by the Hand in the Stormont Hotel,
Belfast on 11th Sept. 1978. This was during her last visit to Northern Ireland.

SECTION THREE : Personal Development
- AUD:13-22 MARRIAGE : DR. HOSSAIN DANESH
- The theme of "marriage" was taken as the main subject for a whole Irish
Summer School. Dr. Danesh, a psychiatrist, was invited to come from Canada
or the purpose of deepening the community on this vital subject. The ten
sessions covered the full range of Bahá'í marriage in all its aspects. His
relaxed and humorous style endeared him to the believers, who found him
easy to listen to as well as to understand. This subject, in the light of
the breakdown of society, and especially the institution of marriage, makes
it essential listening for all those who are in marriage or who contemplate

- Trained and skilled as a counsellor, Val has much experience in her field.
A deep knowledge of the Faith has given her a profound insight into the
subject of death and its effects on the psyche. This session on 'loss', in
bereavement, was recorded in August of 1990 at a Summer School in
Waterford, Ireland.

- Another excellent session from Val, this time on "encouragement", a subject
vital for spiritual development. From her great experience she shows how
Irish life has never been positive in its approach to education of children

sense from the Writings, the vital need to encourage and be encouraged.

- AUD:25-31 EDUCATION OF CHILDREN by Erik Blumenthal
- A series of seven sessions on the whole subject of raising and educating
children. Mr. Blumenthal draws on his vast experience as a Bahá'í and as
a former member of the European Board of Counsellors. His own work, as a
leading Adlerian Psychologist, brings a deep insight to this vital subject.

- The original text of the Peace Statement released by the Universal House of
Justice in October 1985. For easier study and listening this 8000 word
document has been divided by short interludes of music and is read by two
voices, one female and one male.

- AUD:33 THE TABLET OF CARMEL Counsellor Taherzadeh
- Recorded in August 1984 this session reveals Adib's deep knowledge and
understanding of a very important Tablet of Bahá'u'lláh. This is the
Charter for the World Centre and is particularly poignant at this time of
the building of the Arc, prior to the establishment of the Lesser Peace
which will 'synchronise' with its completion.

- AUD:34 MASS TEACHING by Luis Beust (Brazil)
- As the time is imminent when many more thousands will enter the Faith,
Auxiliary Board Member Luis Beust shared his own unique experiences of mass
teaching in South America. This talk was recorded in England in June 1985
and is excellent for all who prepare for the growth of our community.

- AUD:35-37 SPIRIT IN ACTION by Marion Hofman
- For all those who know and love Marion Hofman these three sessions given at
a Summer School in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, in August 1988, will be a
source of inspiration and spiritual deepening. Marion draws from her vast
experience of international travel teaching as well as her close
association with the World Centre of the Faith as well as her long
experience as a Bahá'í over many decades.

- Aud:38-40 BIBLICAL PROPHECY by Charles Macdonald
- These three sessions were Charles Macdonald at his best. They were some
of the last talks he gave before his death and give penetrating insight
into the subject of prophecy. These are invaluable to those teaching
Christians. Recording was done at a Summer School in Lisburn Northern
Ireland in 1988.

- Aud:41 "THE ONWARD MARCH OF THE FAITH" by Adib Taherzadeh
- This extremely inspiring session was one of the many at the International
Conference in Dublin in June 1982 This is the English versio (the Persian
translation edited out) Mr Taherzadeh was still a Counsellor at this time.

- Aud:42 "THE CHALLENGES OF THE PRESENT HOUR " by Prof.Soheil Bushrui
- No one who has heard Prof. Bushrui can forget his powerful and inimitable
style. The power of his argument, the spiritual outpouring of his knowledge
laced with his unique humour make this tape a must. Recorded in
Waterford,Ireland, in 1981 its timeless nature does not make it out-
of-date.

- AUD:43-49 "THE LIFE OF ABDU'L-BAHA" by Betty Reed
- This set of seven tapes were recorded during Summer School, Northern Ireland,
during seven nights of Aug. 1990. The subject is essential and basic and has
been conveyed in a deeply moving and knowledgeable fashion. Invaluable for
deepening. (Running time about nine hours)

SECTION FIVE: Miscellaneous
- AUD:50 UN: ITS PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE? Lord Caradon, former UK
Ambassador at the UN.
- Although this talk was recorded as far back as 1968 it is a historic
lecture on the history of the UN and is perhaps even more relevant today as
it was 23 years ago. The lecture was chaired by the then Editor of the
Belfast Telegraph, John E.Sayers. It was recorded in Queen's University
Belfast and was a very moving experience for the wide audience who
attended. This is essential listening for all Baha'is who want to know more
about the United Nations and its relevance to the Faith.

- AUD:51 HOW TO MAKE MORE MONEY FOR THE FAITH
- How to raise "Life-blood" for the Cause is a constant question in the minds
and hearts of individuals and communities alike. This tape gives many ideas
of ways and means of raising precious funds for the needs of the Cause,
without resorting to coercion, which is forbidden.

SECTION SIX: Music
- AUD:52 IRELAND, MOTHER IRELAND by Maureen Hegarty
- Twelve well-known Irish songs sung by a well-known singer in Northern
Ireland. These are traditional Irish airs sung with beauty and passion. A
special coloured inlay card makes this a fine gift for all with Irish
connections.

- AUD:53 "GLAD TIDINGS" by Huda and Ala Sabour
These nine unaccompanied songs are a joy to listen to. They were recorded
in Londonderry many years ago when the sisters were still together, Huda
then going to New Zealand and Ala staying in Ireland. They are so close in
their singing that it appears they are one. Four different languages are
used during the nine songs, Turkish, English, Arabic and Persian.

- AUD:54 MUSICAL SELECTIONS from the Dublin Conference
- Much beautiful music was sung and performed at the Bahá'í International
Conference in Dublin, Ireland, in June of 1982. This tape is a selection of the
highlights including the Conference Song dedicated to the memory of the
Greatest Holy Leaf. The words of this song are printed along with other
inlay information.

- AUD:55 'BAHA'U'LLAH' A song for Holy Year sung by Shirin Youssefian
- This moving lyric penetrates the soul and leaves a lingering memory.
It was specially composed and sung by Shirin Youssefian and produced by
Rob Weinberg in the Old Pink Dog Studio. Shirin also sings a second song -
A Prayer by Abdu'l-Baha which many Persians may know. Complete with a
specially designed cover this makes an excellent gift.

difference in home or abroad. It does mean that the UK orders slightly
subsidise the foreign ones but it means the tapes can go all over the world
for the same price There are eight new tapes in this brochure and we hope
