• The Bahá'í era is dated from March 21, 1844. This is the first day of the year that the Bab started his ministry.
• B.E. or BE refers to the Bahá'í Era.
• Bahá'í years start on March 21 (similar to ancient Zoroastrian calendar) and consist of 19 months of 19 days each. An additional 4 or 5 Intercalendary days (depending if it is a leap year) are added between months 18 and 19 and are a time of celebration and gift-giving.
• A Nineteen Day Feast is celebrated by Bahá'ís on the first day of every month.
• Days begin at sunset the previous evening. So today (Might) began last night at sunset and ends this evening at sunset.
