The Ghost of Paxton Street

by John J. Butler
29 February 1996

The Ghost of Paxton come at Midnight,
Banging hard upon Front Door;
It's only Belfast Dave again,
Wanting Blanket, and Blankets more.

Notes:

Paxton Street is the location of the Hostel for the homeless. Belfast Dave is a very unpleasent Irish Tramp who is of the opinion that blankets grow on trees. He comes at all hours (more often than not after we have all gone to bed) as is refused, because he has been seen throwing them away.
