ACTS #28 Update, March 2, 1996

The Maui Bahá'í Youth Workshop is scheduled to perform, are you
ready (?), at 3 public schools, on Naw-Rúz 153. And just to top it off,
will also be hosting the Naw-Rúz Celebration that evening at the Eddie
Tam Memorial Center at an island wide Teaching event.

The three schools are Kihei, Makawao and Iao Elementary. The
performances will be:
Opening 'Step Dance', Alcohol Chastity Rap, Racism, Repression,
Wealth and Poverty, Choices, and 'Hustle'. A 45 minute program with
interludes of the Workshop members giving explanations of the
individual numbers.

... Just in. The Hana Community Association, where the youth
performed two weeks ago, have called to confirm that the Maui Bahá'í
Youth Workshop is being asked to come out and host the monthly
'Drug- Free, Hawai`i youth dance at Helene Hall Community Center this
coming weekend, March 10th. Did you get that? The Hana Community
Association, comprised of indigenous Hawaiian parents and Community
leaders, are asking our Bahá'í Youth, whom they have a very high
regard for, to come out and host a dance for their children. You got
that, hun?! Somebody please shake me, ok.

Last night, at the Feast of Alá, it was announced that the youth
had just received a contribution of $1,000.00 towards their 'South Pacific
and Hawaiian Island' trip this summer. Isn't that fantastic! People are
really starting to support this endeavor. Those contributors must be
really spiritually atuned to know of the blessings that will be received!
Did you know that Bahá'u'lláh would love to shower His Blessings
on you too! Yes He would, but you got to do something. Here's how:

        Your support is being requested:
                Makawao Baha'i Fund
                P.O.B. 950
                Makawao, HI. 96768

Ear mark: South Pacific Youth Tour, or 'S.P.Y.T.'
Felix Hubinger is on the Committee and is the Treasurer.

        Bob Palmer
        Public Relations Director,
        Maui Baha'i Youth Workshop.

P.S.: I would like to acknowledge the assistances and support
of Liz Hahn-Morin for her 'fabulous' Youth page, and in getting these
informational releases to the various BB on the internet. The Youth
Workshop has received tremenous support and loving letters of
appreciation for their endeavors.
