May 22, 1996 D.A.R.E. Program on Maui

 At the island wide D.A.R.E. School Program, War Memorial Stadium,
Center Stage, May 22, the Maui Baha'i Youth Workshop will be performing at
the request and invitation of the Maui Police Department.
For the entire island wide 5th graders, graduating to intermediate school next
year, the Maui Police Department holds an island wide Drug Awareness Resistance
Education Program. The DARE officers have been co-partners with the Maui
Baha'i Youth Workshop in many school programs this past year, and are
requesting the Workshop to present at their  major event of  the year
'Choices'.
 "We feel that this performance by the Maui Baha'i Youth Workshop
is one of the most powerful teaching tools we have ever seen. The Baha'is
are to be commended for their efforts in this very important work, and we
certainly do." -Karen Wong, D.A.R.E., Maui Police Department.
