What We Believe

There is only one race. The human race.
All humans belong to the same species. Science and the study of genetics bear
this out. Skin color has nothing to do with a person's abilities or character.
No person is born more noble or has more human worth than another.




Unity in Diversity.
While fundamentally all humans are the same, individuals and cultures
have unique qualities. We are not all clones of one another. Just as different colored
flowers bring richness to a garden, the diversity of people, their cultures, beliefs and
backgrounds bring richness to humankind. Diversity is a quality to be appreciated,
understood and incorporated into the solution.




Racism Will End.
Many people think racism has always and will always exist, that it is a natural part
of being human. Today we cannot afford to tolerate racism. It degrades our species and
because of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, threatens our very existence.
We believe we're on the verge of a truly global society, one where the family of
humankind is interdependent.




The Responsibility is Everyone's.
The government can't legislate an end to racism. It's a spiritual problem.
The way it will be solved is for each of us to wipe out racism in our own hearts,
and influence the people around us to do the same. It's not a white or black
problem, either. All people of every racial group have work to do if the problem
is to be solved; concepts of superiority, no matter how subconscious, and the desire
to revenge past wrongs must take a back seat to mature consultation on
answers to our common problem.





How will racism end?
It will take genuine love, extreme patience, true humility, consummate tact, sound
initiative, mature wisdom, and persistent, prayerful effort.
