Thanks to all devel-l subscribers who contributed. Here is my brief list of web sites I found which are specifically related to Gender & Development.

WomensNet is a non-profit computer network for women, activists and organizations using computer networks for information sharing and increasing women's rights.

The Global Fund for Women is an international grantmaking organization which focuses on female human rights. It supports issues as diverse as literacy, domestic violence, economic autonomy, and the international trafficking of women.

The Network of East-West Women (NEWW) is an international communication and resource network supporting dialogue, informational exchange and activism among those concerned about women's swiftly changing situation in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

The FGM Research page is dedicated to research pertaining to and related to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

Doing a search on the World Bank page for women issues will result in a long list of documents on the Bank's projects focusing on women.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) identifies and analyzes alternative national and international strategies and policies for meeting food needs of the developing world on a sustainable basis.

The Gender Research Network is sponsored by the CGIAR( Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research). The CGIAR Gender Program links researchers at CGIAR centers, national research institutes, and universities who are involved in gender and intrahousehold research.

Gender-CG is an e-mail network, coordinated by the International Food Policy Research Institute, on intrahousehold and gender aspects of food and agricultural research. It is sponsored by the CGIAR Gender Program and USAID to link researchers at CGIAR centers, national research institutes, universities, international donor organizations, and NGOs and to facilitate the exchange of information, ideas and research findings.
