Dear Friends,

Yesterday, Nadeem Malik queried about the list of the books
revealed by the Bab. As explained in the earlier posting, the
best source for His writings is "Selections from the Writings of
the Bab", 1976.

Also, the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith, Shoghi Effendi, provides
the following list of "The Bab's best-known works", (in
parentheses I've provides English translation of title):

The Arabic Bayan
Dala'il-i-Sab`ih (Seven Proofs)
Epistle to Muhammad Shah and Haji Mirza Aqasi
Khas'il-i-Sab`ih (Seven Qualifications)
Kitab-i-Asma' (Book of Names)
Kitab-i-Panj-Sha'n (Book of Five Stations)
Kitabu'r-Ruh (Book of Spirit)
Lawh-i-Hurufat (Tablet of Letters)
The Persian Bayan
Qayyumu'l-Asma' (Commentary on the sura of Joseph)
Risaliy-i-`Adliyyih (Epistle on Justice)
Risaliy-i-Dhahabiyyih (Golden Epistle)
Risaliy-i-Fiqhiyyih (Epistle on Jurisprudence)
Risaliy-i-Furu`-i-'Adliyyih (Epistle on the Branches of Justice)
Sahifatu'l-Haramayn (Epistle between the Two Shrines)
Sahifiy-i-Ja`fariyyih (Treatise on Ja`far)
Sahifiy-i-Makhzunih (Treatise of Hidden)
Sahifiy-i-Radaviyyih (Treatise on Rida)
Suriy-i-Tawhid (Sura on Monotheism)
Tafsir-i-Nubuvvat-i-Khassih (Commentary on Specific Prophethood)
Tafsir-i-Suriy-i-Kawthar (Commentary on the Sura of Abundance)
Tafsir-i-Suriy-i-Va'l-`Asr (Commentary on the Sura of Afternoon)
Ziyarat-i-Shah-`Abdu'l-`Azim (Tablet of Visitation)

You will find extracts from a number of the above works in the
"Selection from the Writings of the Bab".

Also, as mentioned earlier, should you wish to undertake a more
technical study of the writings of the Bab we can direct you to
other more detailed studies/sources.

best regards, ahang.
