Dear David,
Loved both your letter about the Faith to your on-line friend, as well as
your quick explanation of how the Trinity developed as a doctrine in the
church. I'm going to save it in case it is necessary to use it again in some
other discussion in the future. It's amazing how many people accept this
idea without understanding what it means and without realizing where the
idea even came from.
Speaking of relics, I do think that humans will always want keepsakes of
those they love, especially the Holy Ones. As has been mentioned here, the
Baha'i International Archives contains some truly amazing things from the
early history of the Faith. We only spend a couple of hours there during the
9-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land, but what a couple of hours! :)
