To answer your last question Allen, I believe that the Faith teaches that
we can do nothing in the next world save by the mercy of the All
Powerful. Hence those souls lacking in spiritual qualities (ie goodness)
would be powerless to act. Sadly they would have handicapped themselves
in that world by denying their spiritual selves in this world.
Demons and devils should be regarded in symbolic terms, not literal ones.
