"Or, if people should tell you, 'Look, he is out in the desert!'--don't
go there; or if they say, "Look, he is hiding here!'--don't belive it.
For the Son of Man will come like the lightning which flashes across
the whole sky from the east to the west."
-The Gospel According to Matthew, Ch. 24, v.26-27.

When I first read _The Hidden Words of Baha'u'lluh_ it was as if my whole
sky had been illumined by lightning. I became a Baha'i shortly
thereafter. I don't suggest that this is the true meaning of these
verses. But consider how the Hebrews reacted to Jesus-- How could he be
the messiah if we are still enslaved and oppressed, if he is not a
conquering, glorious king?

An alleged messiah who is hiding somewhere must be rejected. But an
alleged messiah whose words light up your sky like lightning, whose
message whacks upside the head is worthy of further investigation.

Read and investigate but don't rush. I knew about the Baha'i faith for
ten years before I got whacked.
