The Baha'i Faith is here to set a new standard in
everything, moral courage, spirituality, sacrifice, love, as
well as the English translations of its sacred scripture.
The style that the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith
eventually selected for the English rendition of Baha'i
Writings, draws on two classics in English literature, one of
which is the 1611 translation of the Bible into English, A.K.A.
The King James Version.
The other classic is " The Decline and Fall of The
Roman Empire" by Gibbon. Any student of English literature
knows that both are difficult to put down, once one begins to
peruse them. The selection of this style has also ensured, from
a Baha'i perspective, the unique station of the English
language as a " revelation languge," one which Baha'is of
succesive genarations must turn to understand the Baha'i
Scripture.
